Stortford Fields in bloom 2025

In 2025, in partnership with the Stortford Fields Community Management Trust, I am hosting the inaugural ‘Stortford Fields in Bloom’ competition for the lovely residents of our Bishop’s Stortford North community.

Since moving here nearly five years ago, I’ve been using my platform to encourage new-build owners to get out in their gardens, so I’m really excited to launch this initiative and celebrate all the gorgeous gardens our community has to offer. And it’s a great opportunity to show everyone that new-build communities can be beautiful and defy stereotypes, whilst also bringing the community together - which is a big part of my ethos at Charlotte’s Garden.

Best back garden

Do you have a back garden you’re proud of? A space you’ve managed to make your own — one that works for you and your family too? Show us how you’ve transformed your spaces!

Best front garden

Does your house have curb appeal? From gravel gardens to pave side planting, show us your best front garden spaces!

Best planter

From hanging baskets to pots, and raised beds to window boxes — show us your best container gardens!

Sustainable gardening champ

A special prize for the person or people demonstrating eco-friendly gardening practices — from wildlife-friendly planting to using sustainable materials.

Young Grower

A chance for the green-fingered children of Stortford Fields to share their beautiful blooms, harvests, and growing spaces.

FAQs

  • Entries will be open in summer - but for now just get planning, planting and enjoying your spaces.

    But entries will be made via this website, via a simple form.

  • There will be prizes for our winners. We’ll announce those soon.

  • We’ll be judging in early August. Exact dates are to be confirmed, but it will be in the school holidays

  • We’d encourage everyone to get involved, no matter what outside space you have. From balcony gardens to container gardens - everyone is welcome to enter.

    We’d also welcome entries from our lovely schools and businesses on the estate too.

    And finally, if you want to team up and help others and create spaces together - we’d encourage that too.

  • Definitely! This isn’t about expertise, this is all a bit of fun and encouraging us all to get outside and make the most of our spaces.

  • Of course, when entries open you’ll be able to select which category/categories you’d like to participate in :)
